Runic Element Stats are stats that affect your magic casting capability and power. These stats are affected by your character's Mental, Runic Element, and sometimes how many spells your character knows. Runic Element stats are Runic Energy, Runic Soul, Runic Spirit, and Runic Speed.

  • Runic Energy: first digit of your character's Mental stat, most affected by runic element of fire
  • Runic Soul: 1/2 Mental - 10; most affected by runic element of water
  • Runic Spirit: 1st digit of Mental; most affected by runic element of earth
  • Runic Speed: Mental divided by 25; most affected by runic element of air

1) Runic Energy

Runic Energy is the raw magic power of your character. It is added to the healing and damaging component of your spells, as long as your spells do direct healing or damage. If a spell does not do damage or does not heal or restore HP, SA, or EP, then you would not add this to the spell. Runic Energy is not added to spells that cause status effects such as poisons, revive, or a slow regenerative affect. Some weapons, such as rune cannons, use your character's runic energy instead of offense power. Runic Energy is based on Mental, although it can be affected by your runic element. The Runic Element of Fire has the greatest affect on Runic Energy. Your character's base Runic Energy is the first digit of your character's Mental stat. If your character's Mental stat is less than 10, then your character's Runic Energy is 0.

2) Runic Soul

This stat shows your connection with your element itself. It is the stat that will determine how capable you are with minor elemental manipulations. If you are doing something super easy, you do not need much runic soul, however the more difficult the manipulation, the more runic soul you need. The amount of runic soul needed is up to the GM to decide based on what you are attempting to do. Runic Soul also empowers your poisoning and effect spells, by increasing their effect by your Runic Soul. If you have 10 Runic Soul, for example, you'd increase your poison, regeneration, and revival effect spell damage (and other status effect spells that have a point value) by 10%. Runic Soul is based on Mental, but also affected by your runic element. The runic element of water has the greatest affect on runic soul. Runic Soul is 1/2 Mental - 10.

3) Runic Spirit

This stat is your natural defense against magic. It is a flat number. If you have 10 Runic Spirit, then any attack spells done at your character is reduced by 10. The more spells you master and the higher your mental, the more runic spirit you'd have. Runic Spirit could also be used to determine safely casting spells in chaotic situations. Runic Spirit is the 1st digit of Mental, just like Runic Energy. Runic Spirit is also affected by your runic element, receiving the greatest affect by the runic element of earth.

4) Runic Speed

Runic Speed is how quickly you can cast spells. The higher your runic speed, the faster you can cast spells. Runic Speed is Mental divided by 25, rounded up. If your character has a mental of 10, your character would have 1 runic speed. The runic element of air has the greatest affect on runic speed.
