A whip is a tool traditionally used by sentient beings to exert control over animals or other people, through pain compliance or fear of pain, although in some activities whips can be used without use of pain, such as an additional pressure aid in dressage or as a tool for exploration. Whips are generally flexible and must be swung in a specific manner to be effective. Whips are generally a cost effective weapon, providing greater attack power for the shilling, but they require greater skill. Whips can only ever be dual wielded if the whip wielder possesses Level 2 or higher in Whip Proficiency and a speed greater than 35

Whips mainly do bashing damage, though strangulation, tripping, and lassoing the target are also methods of attack for the whip.

Extra Info:

  • If you have Level 1 or higher in Whips Proficiencies, against an armored target you will cause Fatigue if you crit, with Fatigue lasting lasting 4 rounds. There is also a 30% chance of Knock Down. Meaning, if you roll 30 or below for your skill or crit check, the target is knocked down.
  • If the target is not armored, Minor Broken Bones and Fatigue apply if you crit. There is a 10% chance for Minor Wounds, causing the target to loose 1d6 HP per round until healed. This will apply to armored targets if you have level 3 or higher
  • You can make a strength check to daze the target for 1d3 rounds.
  • Whips can deal damage up to 1d4 targets that are in range with one attack, however the damage is divided among the targets

Holy Symbol x 2 damage against spirits x 1.5 Parry against spirits 0 +5 against spirits 0 N/A 0

This etches a holy symbol upon your weapon that is significanly blessed. This causes your weapon to do double the damage it normally would do against a spirit, and increases its ability to parry a spirit's attack if the weapon can parry. Further more, spirits have a harder time evading it. Spirits still get their normal decrease in physical damage, but because the weapon can do more damage, more of it will affect the spirit.
