Swords

Swords are one of the most traditional forms of melee weapons. Swords are long bladed weapons made to slice into its target. Swords are versatile and well balanced making them the perfect weapon for the aspiring knight.

If you have a Weapons Mastery in Swords ability, your attacks will cause slashing damage. Slashing damage ignores 25% of leather armor PR. Slashing attacks can also cause Bleeding Out status effect if the target is not armored if you make a critical hit, reducing the target's hp by 1d10 round for 4 rounds or until bandaged.

The hilt of your sword can act as a bludgeoning weapon, and you can hit with the flat end of your sword as a bludgeoning attack. Both attacks do 10% less damage than your normal sword attack.

All swords come with their own sheaths.

3. Rune Sword

This is a weapon with a long bracket of steel that has two crystals on the inner part of the bracket to form a blade edge of elemental magic power. It draws off magic power from the user to create the blade. The rune sword has a base attack value, and that attack value is increased by the amount of magic power the user supplies the rune sword. Supplying the magic power is called charging the rune sword, and for every 2 SA spent into the sword, the rune sword's attack value increases by 1 point. You also add the user's magic power to the attack and the user can make critical magic hit checks. Every charge of 10 SA costs 1 support action. Charges can be built over multiple rounds but must be discharged by the end of the battle.

Elemental effects on attack apply.

  • Earth: Solidity Ability = increases sword's attack value and block value by +1d10
  • Air: Knock Back Ability each hit uses air to knock the target back 1 hex and increases attack value by + 1d10
  • Water: Frozen Flame Ability = each hit does an extra 2d6 ice damage and has a 20% chance to freeze the target for 1 round
  • Fire: Aura of Flame Ability = each hit does an extra 2d6 fire damage plus 1d10 burn damage per round
  • Life: Electric Aura Ability each hit does an extra 2d6 shock damage and has a 20% chance to stun the target for 1 round
  • Death: Vampire's Poison Ability = each hit return 1⁄2 of the damage to the user and poisons the target for 1d10 per round
  • Time: Slow Bash Ability each hit reduces the target by half movement rate and there is a 20% chance that the target will be stunned for one round
  • Space: Psionic Command Ability each hit has a 20% chance of causing target to fall under your command for 1 round
