Projectile Weapons

Projectile weapons are any kind of weapon that shoots some form of projectile at a target. These are your bows, crossbows, guns, and slingshots. Projectile weapons are a favorite of those who want to stay out of range from the other target, but wielders of projectile weapons should always have a melee weapon to fall back on.

If you have the Weapons Mastery in Projectile Weapons ability, you can spend a support action to increase your Aim % by x 1.5 for that shot.

1. Bow

The bow is a common projectile weapon that consists of a flexible piece of wood and a string. It is used to shoot arrows. You can melee hit a target with a bow as a bashing attack, but you will do 50% of the bow's attack power in damage. Using a bow makes use of your Bow Power. If you have Weapons Mastery in Projectile Weapons ability, you can apply piercing effect to your attack meaning 10% of the damage done goes straight to HP.

A crossbow is a type of weapon based on the bow and consisting of a horizontal bow-like assembly mounted on a stock. It shoots projectiles called bolts. The crossbow gets all of its attack power from a tightly wound spring and draws none of it from the user. This makes the crossbow incredibly easy to use but prevents the bow from having extra damage given by the wielder's strength. If you have the Weapons Mastery in Projectile Weapons ability, you can make a Luck Check to make a critical hit and apply piercing damage so that 10% of the damage go directly to target's HP. You can bash someone with your crossbow, dealing 75% of the crossbow's attack value.

5. Rune Cannon

A rune cannon is a special type of gun that does not shoot a projectile. Instead it shoots a concentrated blast of magic that is of the same element as the user. It does this by drawing off magic power from the user. The rune cannon has a base shot value, and that shot value is increased by the amount of magic power the user supplies the rune cannon. Supplying the magic power is called charging the rune cannon, and for every 2 SA spent into the cannon, the rune cannon's attack value increases by 1 point. You also add the user's magic power to the attack and the user can make critical magic hit checks. Every charge of 10 SA costs 1 support action. Charges can be built over multiple rounds but must be discharged by the end of the battle. You can bash someone with your rune cannon, dealing the rune cannon's base attack value as bashing damage. If you have Weapons Mastery in Rune Cannons ability, you can apply piercing damage so that 10% of the damage dealt goes directly to the target's HP.
