2. Brief History

Plains Elves are a variety of elf that thrive in plains. Elves were despised and hunted down by the dark god of greed, Zodo, and thus there numbers are flaunting. The Plains Elf, is thus in short number. Those that still live can be found roaming the plains.

3. Positives & Negatives

Plains Elves are excellent hunters bearing keen eye sight that allows them to see a mile away under good

conditions, and keen hearing that allows them to hear the slightest whisper. Plains elves also have a good sense of smell. By using their sense of smell, and knowing the difference between smells, they are able to ‘sniff-out’ what is coming, out to ‘sniff-out’ their prey. Plains elves get along good with other elves, besides wood and dark elves, as well as frontier humans. They however dislike oddities and dark races.

Plains Elves benefit from bonuses of + 10 to Speed, + 2 to Initiative, +5 to Will, +1 Battle Support Actions, +5 to Bow Power, +10 to Aim, and + 2 to Success Rate when using projectile and movement/momentum skills. All elves are immune to sleep and to poisons that deal 1d20 or less damage, with higher poisons dealing half damage. Furthermore they never suffer from any terrain movement penalties. Plains Elves learn early how to travel great distances quickly and make great hunters and trackers.

4. Lifespan

Elves have three stages of life. The first stage, childhood, last from birth until 14. During this stage the young elf grows and develops its many skills needed for survival, though just a tad slower at developing than a human. The young elf stays at home during this stage.

The second stage, becomance, last from 15 until 25. During this stage the elf leaves his parents and lives with relatives. This is their adolescence, when they develop into young men or women.

The final stage, adulthood, last from 26 until death. During this stage the elf must first become accepted into the elfin culture, which varies from tribe to tribe, and then is allowed to live on his or her own. It is also during this stage that an elf may find a spouse. According to elfish law, the female must persuade her love to court her. After which it is up to the male to marry her. Elves never seem to change much during their adult hood until they reach around 350 to 400 years old. Then they begin to age quickly and look elderly. Death comes naturally and expectantly to the elves.

5. Appearance

Plains elves are tall and skinny. Their skin is tanned and slightly red, and have ears that measure to be about 2” long. Their hair color is black, and eye color is brown.

6. Living Habitat

Plains elves are nomadic and can be found roaming the plains of Nor’Ova. It is common to see a plains elf travel.

7. Food & Sleeping Requirements

Elves require 3 meals a day consisting of fruits, vegetables, fungus, small fowl and woodland creature, and water. They must sleep a full night’s cycle every night or suffer from fatigue (-5 from endurance per missed hour).

8. Culture

Plains elves are very nomadic. They celebrate the hunt and life itself but usually do not stay in one place to long. Because they are always on the move their celebrations if they have them are short but meaningful.

Plains Elves do not use last names. Instead, when referring to themselves, they will often give you their first name followed by “son of” and their father's name. First names typically reflect nature in some way or form.

9. Racial Relations

Plains Elves get along well with most other elves except the dark elf and the ascian elf. They have a hatred for the dark elf but just a general distrust for the ascian elf. They get along great with the frontier human considering them almost kin, and get along OK with tribal humans. They however have a mild distrust for cosmopolitan humans.

Their relationships with talusians and deztunians really depends upon the individual and they are highly distrustful of the xodian. No elf, especially plains elves, can get along with any dwarf. Their relationships with the beast men and anthropoids is similar to their relationships with tribal humans. They are leery of the races of lore, especially the fae. They usually steer clear of reptilian and orc races.

That’s okay , I’ve got my hands working on making some polymer clay more pliable. I use FIMO and some colors are stiffer in nature than others. I’m working on my flowers of hope, since I’ve got the day off from work.
