Adventuring Gear are items that you would use to help you with your adventuring and exploring. These are often times lifesavers for the adventurer, pointing the way back to civilization when the adventurer has need, or the way to new adventures.

There are many different types of items which aid in exploration. The most commonly thought of item is indeed maps and navigational charts. Compasses also come to mind, showing the way north so that you may find the direction you need. However there are other tools which aid the explorer greatly. There’s tools for taking notes so that you can remember key important pieces of information. There’s tools of survival which can help you bandage up a broken arm. There’s tools to help you scale tall mountains, and tools which provide light in even the darkest of dungeons.

Indeed there are many tools for many jobs, all of which help with one thing… adventuring. These are tools which may help you find your way out of dark caves and monster infested mines, tools which may prevent you from falling to your death should you slip while climbing a tall mountain, and tools that at the end of the day lead you back home.

Provides a map of the nation you are in which highlights where major cities are and major known points of interest as well as regional boundaries. It is not as detailed as the regional map but shows all of the nation instead of just the political region you are in, if the nation has no political regions then the national map will be the same as the regional map. A thin, piece of oak that has been cut to size, sanded and its edges rounded and smoothed. Use it with bandages to provide a strong splint for an injured limb.

Crutch

A device consisting of two cherry wood pieces. The top piece has a curved top to fit under your arm with a handle halfway down for your hand. The bottom piece has a wide base.
