Bows and Crossbows of the 5thEra were designed primarily for sport. They are a favorite of the purest hunter and the Nor'Ovan Games gladiators. The singular major advantage of the bow and crossbow over the gun is the lack of noise. The modern bows of the 5th Era are lighter, slightly more powerful, and more accurate than the bows of yesteryear. They do however lack certain considerations that bow designers of the past might have given in terms of combat, especially in all-weather scenarios. Modern bows are more likely to experience dry firing issues, requiring the practiced user to keep the strings moist, as well as cable splitting and pulley breaks and jams. That said, they are a formidable weapon choice that can be used in the melee weapon slot.

A takedown bow is a bow assembled out of a riser and two limbs to make a working bow when strung. The primary advantage of the takedown design is that it can be transported in a much shorter case when disassembled. The secondary advantage is that an archer can change bow configuration by changing limbs. The limbs all can be purchased seperately. Limbs To Use:
