Taal

Many people do not consider or acknowledge Taal as a god. For the churches of Sol Anon and St. Ardatha, he's a saint, but a man nonetheless. However, the truth is that was is a god, although an accidental one. Taal is the god of dreams and the subconscious, of emotions, and of intentions. He was given godly power when he was dying as an infant by the cracking of the Orb of Power which caused him to be possessed by Zodo to save his life. Zodo laid dormant within Taal, waiting for Taal to grow into a suitable host, unwittingly granting the innocent child godly powers of his own. Taal would come to use these powers to trap Zodo within an elaborate dream world that accidentally caused widespread cases of dark paralysis world wide. Within Taal's created dream world, Zodo was trapped in a loop where time seemed to pass, and he seemed to come to power, but was constantly defeated.

Characteristics

Taal is full of guilt for all of the people that had suffered in his dream prison he created to hold Zodo in after the Great Magic War. He is kind and merciful, however his guilt and his anger at an existance he didn't ask for can cause him to act violently.

Personification

Taal is unique in that he wasn't born as a god. His form is well known to others as a handsome xodian male with blond hair and ice blue eyes.

Powers

Taal's power is that of dreams and illusions. Taal can create great worlds within the dreams of anyone, and those worlds would be very real to those involved. So real in fact, that they fooled even the dark god of power, Zodo.

Followers

As stated before, most do not acknowledge Taal as a god. There is however one sect that does - the Templars of Mercy. Started by former Rube Knights that were within Taal's dream world, these people aim to help those who are outcasts, exiled, or stranded in the wilderness. They have come to operate Wilderness Survival Camps after the Great Collapse.
