Haen Mara, which is high zodian for Blade of Life, is a holy sword fashioned by the goddess Yu'Mara. It was presented to her chosen knight as an alternative to the Sword of Legend, which she claims was her inspiration. The intended purpose was to create a sword that could break the control of Kious Zodo.
 

The History of Haen Mara

The origin of Haen Mara is known only to those who were present upon its creation. As stated above, it was made by the goddess Yu'Mara just before she departed from the broken remains of the cyborg Calista Xerxes. Feeling a sense of vengence and guilt, the goddess crafted the sword to be like that of the Sword of Legend. The Sword of Legend is known to Yu'Mara as a sword that breaks evil. Yu'Mara crafted Haen Mara as a sword that breaks bindings and illusions. She crafted it to prefer those of good intent and spirit, regardless of the deity they worshiped or their past moral flaws. The name Haen Mara containing the name Yu'Mara is simply because Mara in xodian means life and Yu'Mara is the goddess of Life. This was done in the year 2025 of the First Era, just a week after the death of Emperor Killian Xerxes.

Despite the fact that the sword is new, it is prophesied about in two holy texts.

"Under the cloak of great deception and crown of a life taken, the false one shall rise to the head of the world. His misdeads shall be many, and all that hear him shall be deceived. Of the deceived shall come a man with the wings of a crow carrying a sword of life that shall severe the bonds created in deceit."

It would seem then that the sword was meant to exist, and that both texts from contrasting religions sees it as a holy weapon.
 

The Properties of Haen Mara

Haen Mara was created using the Sword of Legend as its inspiration. However, it is not a sword yet broken and seems able to be used as a normal weapon. Its lacks a bonus against those of dark moralities, however it boasts the ability to free targets of spiritual or mental control. The sword is also not sentient, likely due to not containing a part of or connection to Yu'Mara. It is however a mighty weapon in the right hands and is feared by the undead.
