Pay Rate: 250 shillings per game week

Weapon & Armor Types:
  • Arcane Sharpshooters use runic rifles only.
  • Arcane Sharpshooters can only wear light to medium armor and cannot use shields.

Arcane Sharpshooters are masters of the Runic Rifle. With it they can wield a firepower that is best described as world ending.

Arcane Sharpshooters are a combo profession of Hunter and Runic Mage.

Requirements for Arcane Sharpshooter

In order to open up the Arcane Sharpshooter combo profession, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • At least level 2 of Long Gun Proficiency from Hunter.
  • At least level 2 of Soul Empowerment from Runic Mage.

The cost to acquire the skill depends on the level you are acquiring the skill, as well as the tier level of the skill.

Character Point Rate

 Arcane Sharpshooters pride themselves in their ability and efficiency with the runic rifle. Perceive and Mental is the way to go with them.

The Arcane Sharpshooter's character point rate is:
  • Mental x 0.01; with an additional +0.2 for every level obtained in Runic Rifle Proficiency (total of +0.8 bonus possible).
  • An arcane sharpshooter who gets all 4 levels of Runic Rifle Theory gets to roll a 1d% increased by Mental as a percentage for extra character points.
  • An arcane sharpshooter who gets all 4 levels of Runic Amplification gets to roll  2d% increased by Mental as a percentage for extra character points.
  • An arcane sharpshooter who gets at least 1 level in every arcane sharpshooter skill gets their End of Session Bonus as extra character points.
  • An arcane sharpshooter's End of Session Bonus rate is your character point rate increased by 1/2 Perceive. So if your character point rate is 1.5 and your Perceive is 60, you would take 1.5 x 30 to get 45 extra character points at the end of the session. The GM can of course reward extra character points based on role playing.

Elemental Cannon 5 Soul

Different effects depending upon runic element.

  • Earth: Runic Energy + 10 Earth Magic Damage, 10% chance over encumbered 1d6 rounds
  • Air: Runic Energy + 10 Air Magic Damage, 10% chance unable to use projectiles or throwing weapons 1d6 rounds
  • Water: Runic Energy + 10 Water Magic Damage, 10% chance sickness 1d6 rounds
  • Fire: Runic Energy + 10 Fire Magic Damage, 10% chance burns 1d6 rounds
  • Life: Runic Energy + 10 Life Magic Damage, 10% chance dazed 1d6 rounds
  • Death: Runic Energy + 10 Death Magic Damage, 10% chance 1d20 poison 1d6 rounds
  • Time: Runic Energy + 10 Time Magic Damage, 10% chance half movement rate and runic casting speed 1d6 rounds

Spell Cannon 5 Soul Shoot spell that casts upon impact as long as spell is Runic Casting Speed 1 or less. Spell stat cost is still spent and must be rolled for, however this adds the spell to your attack effectively allowing you to cast a spell with your attack action and still able to cast a spell during your magic action. Level 1: Runic Casting Speed 1 or less; 5 Soul

Arcane Sharpshooter Growth

As you develop and master skills within your arcane sharpshooter profession, you will become a more capable arcane sharpshooter. Each set of skills mastered will increase your tier level in your profession, which in turn will provide you with more benefits.

Tier 1: Basic Arcane Sharpshooter

This is the tier level you start out as. The starting bonuses listed earlier apply here.

Tier 2: Novice Arcane Sharpshooter

To reach this tier, you must acquire all of the skills in the runic rifle proficiency chain at level 1. As a novice arcane sharpshooter you benefit from the following bonuses:

  • Hit Chance increased by 10% mental.
  • Perceive increased by 10% perceive.
  • +0.2 to Character Point Rate

Tier 3: Skilled Arcane Sharpshooter

To reach this tier, you must acquire all of the skills in the runic rifle proficiency skill chain at level 2. As a skilled arcane sharpshooter you benefit from the following bonuses:

  • React increased by 10% perceive.
  • Hit Targeting increased by 10% mental.
  • Soul increased by 10% perceive.
  • +0.2 to Character Point Rate

Tier 4: Master Arcane Sharpshooter

To reach this tier, you must acquire all of the skills in the runic rifle skill chain at level 3. As a master arcane sharpshooter you benefit from the following bonuses:

  • Hit Chance increased by 20%.
  • +0.2 to Character Point Rate
  • Soul increased by 20%.
  • Perceive increased by 20%.
  • Runic Energy increased by 10% perceive.
