Table of contents
Books are simply what you would think they are, pages filled with written words bound together with a front and back cover. Most of the time you would find books filled with stories of great adventures and whimsical romance, or maybe stories of deep mystery and hair-raising horror. However those are not the types of books that you will find in your general store. The books for sell at the general store are all works of nonfiction, and all dealing with general topics. You won’t find exciting stories in these books, and to many, these books would prove quite boring. However do not let their boring nature fool you, the books found here may prove to be a great asset on your adventure.
Within the general store you will find five different types of books; survival books, skill books, history books, law books, and religious books. Within the pages of these books you will come to know of the histories of the land you are in which may help you to find long-lost treasures, the laws of the region you are in which may help keep you out of trouble, things of the religious nature so that you can more tactfully deal with others and their beliefs, better ways at performing and using skills, and how to survive in the wilderness. While none of these books are a necessity for any adventure, they may all help provide information which may make your adventuring even more successful.
Please note that within these lists you won’t be presented with the actual contents of the books for sale. Instead you will get a brief description of the book and what the book will do for you. If your game master so desires, your game master may come up with short excerpts for the books.
