This spell is a part of the Purify spell chain and is found in the Purify rune stone.

Warding protects against magical spell damage. If a damaging spell has the ability to do more than 1d20 points of damage, then its spell damage is reduced by the number rolled  on the 1d20 and the remaining damage is further reduced by 20%. Spells that do the number rolled points of damage or less will do zero damage. Spells that do not cause damage are not protected against. Any adverse effect from the damaging spell, such as poison, still applies.
