This spell is a part of the Spiritual Link spell chain and can be found in the Spiritual Link rune stone.

There is a moment in every animancer's life if they walk this path long enough where they must face a truth they have spent a long time avoiding. That they cannot do this alone. Not today. Not against this. The animancer has given everything they have to give. They have sacrificed their body, begged mercy for their friends, poured their soul out in ways that would have broken a lesser person. And yet here they still stand, and the battle is still not won. So the animancer does something they have never done before. They stop reaching inward with requests and whispers and quiet pleas. Instead they speak openly, vulnerably, with nothing held back - I need you. Not from within me. Here. Now. With me.

The Spirit of Life does not hesitate. It rises from within the animancer's runic soul and takes form - not invisible, not felt, but seen. A presence of pure spiritual life energy, luminous and vast, standing beside the animancer for all the battlefield to witness. Enemies who look upon it feel something ancient and primal stir within them. Allies feel something else entirely - hope.

The animancer must choose how the Spirit acts, for even now the Spirit defers to the animancer's heart:

1. Possession: The Spirit possesses the animancer or a willing ally at the animancer's direction. The chosen target's Vitality, Soul, and Power as well as Runic Power are all doubled for the duration. The possessed target becomes immune to Life Magic and has a 50% chance of immunity to Death Magic. The Spirit has stepped fully into them, and nothing feels impossible.

2. Aide: The Spirit moves freely among the party, watching over every ally simultaneously. Each time the animancer or an ally is struck, the Spirit has a 12 out of 20 chance (roll 8 or above on a 1d20) of healing them completely - not partially, not mostly, but completely - before the damage has even settled. The Spirit refuses to watch those it loves suffer needlessly.

3. Attack: The Spirit turns its attention to the enemy. Once per round it selects a target at random and strikes with the full force of spiritual life energy, dealing four times the animancer's Runic Power in damage. There is a 1 in 6 chance (roll a d6, 6 = death) that the strike alone is enough - that the Spirit finds something within the target that simply cannot withstand its touch, and the target dies instantly.

When the duration ends the Spirit does not vanish so much as withdraw, returning to its place within the animancer slowly, reluctantly, as though it too wished it could stay longer. The animancer feels its return like a quiet exhale, the Spirit is still there, still with them, always with them. But the battle, for now, must continue on the animancer's own strength.
