This spell is a part of the Graveyard's Warding spell chain and is found in the Graveyard's Warding rune stone.

A seniumancer who casts this spell is doing something that goes against the grain of everything they have spent their craft developing. They have learned to work with decay, to direct it, to use The Fade's patient inevitability as a tool. They have never once tried to reverse it. The mere idea sits uncomfortably, not because they are incapable, but because it requires them to reach into their runic soul and do something entirely contrary to their nature. To push The Fade back, even temporarily, even from just one thing. The Fade does not object to this, precisely. It understands, in the way that all inevitable things understand, that what it postpones it does not lose. It will return for this one. It always returns. For now, if the seniumancer wishes to make the effort, The Fade will step aside.

When this spell is cast the seniumancer reaches into the dead target and does not pour life into them for they have no life magic to pour. Instead they draw the death energy out, pulling it carefully and completely from the body it has settled into. This must be done within one week of the target's death, while The Fade's claim is still fresh enough to be relinquished. As the death energy withdraws, the natural life energy of the world rushes in to fill the vacuum it leaves behind. The life magic is not summoned or conjured, it is simply responding to the absence of what was keeping it out. The target awakens with 20% of their Vitality restored (based on Max Vitality), disoriented and needing one round of rest before they can act. Their body adjusting to the abrupt reversal of what it was becoming. The seniumancer does not find this satisfying in the way their other spells satisfy them. But they do it anyway, when it must be done, which is the only reason the spell exists at all. For the seniumancer this is an uncomfortable yet understandable example of The Fade's power. The Fade can dim one's existence, or dim the death of their existence. And with that understanding, the seniumancer can make peace with the spell.
