This spell is a part of the Dishevel spell chain and can be found in the Dishevel rune stone.
Aiming Misdirection taught the target that their own arm could betray them mid-swing. Movement Misdirection goes further still - it doesn't wait for the target to attack at all. Once the aeromancer has learned to grip a strike hard enough to redirect it, gripping a footstep is barely any harder. The same coiled current that once seized an arrow or a blade now wraps around the target's own legs instead.
Every step becomes a small negotiation the target loses. Whenever the target tries to move, the wind decides where that step actually lands - roll a 1d8, with the number showing where the target actually moves, checked fresh with every single space they attempt to cross:
- Roll a 1: Space to the North
- Roll a 2: Space to the North East
- Roll a 3: Space to the East
- Roll a 4: Space to the South East
- Roll a 5: Space to the South
- Roll a 6: Space to the South West
- Roll a 7: Space to the West
- Roll a 8: Space to the North West
There's no walking in a straight line anymore, no retreating cleanly, no closing distance on purpose. The target's own feet have stopped answering to them, and by the time they realize it, they're already somewhere they never meant to go.
