Nimbus Field

This spell is a part of the Dishevel spell chain and can be found in the Dishevel rune stone.

Air Dome taught the aeromancer that the same wall of wind protects and traps in equal measure, depending only on which side of it you're standing. Nimbus Field carries that same lack of preference somewhere new - this time not as a wall at all, but as a gift, and one the wind hands out just as evenly to whoever happens to be standing close enough to receive it.

A field of quickening breeze spreads out to fill the space around the aeromancer, and everyone caught inside it feels the same lift at once - a 1d6 bonus to every Speed trait, and the strange, steadying sensation of being raised a full foot off the ground, weightless enough that rough terrain and anything meant to strike from below simply stop mattering. The wind asks no permission and checks no allegiance before granting any of this - ally, enemy, and the aeromancer themself all rise and quicken together, the field entirely unconcerned with whose side benefits more. Step outside its reach, or wait for it to finally settle after 1d10 rounds, and the ground reclaims you gently, the lightness gone as quickly as it came.

It's the same lesson as Air Dome, learned all over again from a different angle: the wind built this - not the aeromancer's intentions. Whether Nimbus Field wins a fight or hands one to the other side is entirely a question of who thought to stand in it, and when.
