This spell is a part of the Bio Instability spell chain and can be found in the Bio Instability rune stone.
It is often said that the ultimate cure to any condition is to remove the chance for that condition to exist. The seniumancer understands well what this means, at least in their understanding of the world and of condition. The way they see it, the cure for plague is death, the cure for emotion is emotional death. The seniumancer has been with The Fade for so long that they have, in some ways, become emotionally dead themselves. It has over time become more difficult the affect their mental status. Their minds have become clearer and rarely do they see any benefit to the notion of emotions. Just look at what harm emotions can cause, the seniumancer would argue, and it would be hard to argue back for they have witnessed the effects of fear, anxiety, and depression on others.
When the seniumancer casts The Fade's Cure, they are reaching inward to the patient positive symbol of decay, The Fade. The Fade represents the dimming of all things, including emotions and emotional attachments. With a simple understanding that can only exist between seniumancer and The Fade, The Fade possesses the target, and without the thought of even asking The Fade cure's the target of all things they might be feeling or could feel for the duration of The Fade's indwelling. For the duration the target will feel no emotion. Joy, sadness, anger, fear - these things the target cannot experience or know. Also cut off from the target are emotional attachments. For the target, they cannot exist for you must feel to have such attachments and The Fade has erased all such feelings. The target is now emotionally void, they simply exist. They cannot make critical hits. They cannot identify anyone as a friend or a foe - to them they are simply other living things. They cannot be possessed, enraged, depressed, or filled with fear. They can bear no emotional or spiritual status effect or attack, The Fade rendering them completely immune and cut off from the emotional world.
Existing without emotions is hardly living. Emotions are the driving force of all mortals. It is what gives them purpose, even if it is also what can hurt them the most. The Fade does not know this, nor could The Fade understand this. This is a condition of mortality that escapes those that dwell beyond it. For the mortal target however, existing without emotions is jarring. They feel completely cut off - no, feeling is incorrect here as they cannot feel. For them they are just living, breathing shells with no purpose. The first round they will need to make a hard survival check to do any action. The second round they will be unable and unwilling to use any support or defense action. From the third round onward roll a 1d20. If the dice rolls a 20, the target will decide to end their life, feeling nothing and no longer wishing to feel nothing.
When the spell ends The Fade will leave its host and return to the seniumancer's runic soul. The target will feel the emotions return, which for them will be like feeling the wind after not having felt it in so very long.
