2. Brief History

Liontaurs have for ages been rivals of the adolfites. For a long time each have raided each other’s tribe, went to war against each other, and despised one another. Liontaurs however have had very little effect in the history of Nor’Ova, except the fact that one of their kind had become one of Zodo’s vile knights of order.

Liontaurs are not present in the Saga of Ablution campaign.

3. Positives & Negatives

Liontaurs are strong and noble beings, full of pride and valor. They have the strength of a lion, however they have

They share many behaviors from their lion cousins and make great hunters and warriors.

4. Lifespan

Liontaurs have two stages of life. The first stage, cub, last from birth until 15. During this stage the young liontaur grows and develops it’s many skills needed for survival. The young liontaur stays at home during this stage. The liontaur also learns hunting and tracking skills during this stage.

The final stage, adulthood, last from 16 until death. To be accepted as an adult, and a member of the liontaur clan in which the liontaur was born into, the liontaur must undergo a long and difficult trial. Those who do not succeed, die. The trial is of course different for male and female, and varies among the various liontaur tribes. It is also during this stage that a liontaur may find a spouse. According to liontaur custom, the male must win the love of his hopeful mate by challenging and besting her other hopeful mates. If there are no other contestants for the female, then it is decided that the female is unfit to be mated and sent into exile.

Death comes naturally and expectantly to the liontaur. They hate the idea of death, seeing it as them losing control of their life, and a force that takes everything from them. Near the time of their death they will often go into a bitter rage, angered that death is coming and they have no way of stopping it. Some even kill themselves, desiring to be in control of one’s death.

5. Appearance

Liontaurs are large and big boned. In human form males have well developed beards, typically of a reddish color, and blondish, to reddish hair, usually bushy and somewhat mangled. Females have long blond or red hair and are slender and built . In lion form they resemble large lions.

6. Living Habitat

Liontaurs can be found in the plains away from civilizations. They rarely make homes in the forests. Liontaurs will only travel to prove one’s self or for the tribe.

7. Food & Sleeping Requirements

Liontaurs require 1 meal a day, of anything that is meat, and water, and require one cycle of sleep a night, or risk fatigue (-5 endurance per missed hour).

8. Culture

Liontaurs are a proud and noble race. They are very devoted to the tribe and family which they belong too. They are polytheistic in belief, worshiping the forces of nature. The celebrate life and the seasons.

Liontaurs do not use surnames. Instead they will refer to the tribe that they are part of, for example, Leon of the Eros Pride. First names are often very beast-like.

9. Racial Relations

Liontaurs have actually had very little interaction with most races partly because most of them live in the more remote areas of the world. Thus liontaurs generally do not have a per race relationship, it is more of a per individual or per tribe relationship with their relationships being based on need, desire, or circumstance. The two races which they always fight against are the kobold and the adolfite.

Offensive Ability
With this ability you can increase your damage against a predetermined beast type by + 10. Tough Skin
