Blades are typically any weapon type that has a long blade that is sharp along one whole side and is attached to a handle. Unlike axes which are wedge-shaped, blades are made for slicing and not chopping. Blades usually include knives, daggers, and swords, however scythes are considered blades as well due to having one long edge that is sharp and being used to slice instead of chop.
