1) How To Use A Design

The design blueprints tell you the basics of the item you are trying to create. In the design table you will see numbers for each column. Those numbers are multiplied by numbers from the matching column in the materials tables. Materials can be found on the materials page.

For example, if you wanted to make a mythril plate bracer, the first thing you would need to decide upon is the material used. You need the design and material's defense stats, DR%, and MR%. You will also need to know how to determine how much material you will need, its weight, the cost of the material, and the cost of the design.

  • Step 1: To get your armor's DR%, multiply the armor design's DR% value against the material's DR% value. Be sure to round up to the nearest whole number.
  • Step 2: To get your armor's MR%, multiply the armor design's MR% value against the material's MR% value. Be sure to round up to the nearest whole number.
  • Step 3: To get the defense stats, multiply the armor design's defense types against the material defense stats. Be sure to round up to the nearest whole number. This is repeated for each defense stat type: Slash, Bash, Pierce, Bash, Chop, Breath, Explosion, and Radiation.
  • Step 4: To get the Evade Modifier, multiply the armor design's Evade to the material's Evade. Round up to the nearest whole number, and be certain to write down which element (earth, air, water, fire, all, or your element) that the material provides.
  • Step 5: To get the Weight, multiply the weight of the material against the design's "Weight of Material Required" value to know how much material you need and the weight of the finished piece of armor.
  • Step 6: To get the Cost, multiply the material's cost by the weight of the material used and adding the design's cost to that total. Stores then multiply that answer by x 1.25 to get the cost that they sell the completed item for. For scale armor, you will need to first multiply the completed armor's weight by x 1.5 before multiplying it to the material's cost.

If a design has a 0 or N/A for a value, it does not provide that value, and the completed item will not have that value. For Defense value, if the design has a 0 value that means that there will be no defense value for the completed armor.

Mythril got rid of the plate bracer's evade penalty. We also rounded up for all values, except weight and cost which we rounded up to the nearest hundredth. Remember, always round up to the next whole number, if the answer for anything except weight or cost isn't a whole number.
